Came here a few times now. First time was on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty packed and it's a smaller restaurant so it was also really loud and lively. The second time was on a Sunday afternoon, it's was consistently busy but a lot quieter. They do have a small sidewalk patio right in front of the restaurant. The food is decent tasting for the most part. I got flautas w/ shredded chicken (you can get them as an app or entree w/ rice and beans) The drinks are good as well. I will say it's a bit pricey overall though. There's a slight discount if you use cash vs card. Service is overall a bit slow but the staff were generally always nice. They do have street parking, as well as a decent sized parking lot, which is nice.
Every time we come here the food is amazing I try to get something different every time but I just can't seem to pass up that Cadillac margarita or the queso birria The staff is always very kind and it's a perfect blend of sports bar and family time especially during the summer You can sit out on the patio and when the weather's super nice you can sit near the window where the garage door windows open and take in the summer breeze! I won't mention names.... But this place is one of the best on the block And I would highly recommend to anybody visiting the area that wants some authentic dishes with great drinks and an even better happy hour!
One of my favorite taco places. The food is delicious. The restaurant is clean. And the staff are super nice and attentive.
This place is located in west Saint Paul it's in a key Hispanic area surrounded by lots of amazing shops. It has its own little parking lot and on nice days it has a large open feel where huge garage doors open letting in fresh air. As you walk in you are greeted and the interior is very open. There are some tasteful sports decorations along with TVs and a large well-stocked bars. When you go to a sports bar you expect lots of Tvs and lots of gody Vikings or football decor all over the place and when you go to a Mexican restaurant you mostly see Mexican decor and lots of traditional things. This bar is very modern and clean-looking. The service was second to none and the menu was so large we were not even sure what to get. Also, beware of what you get because lots of the items are made to be shared so ask about portion size first. We were planning to order a few things but started with beer, and then a margarita. The margarita was not watered down and syrupy like in some places. We continued to browse the menu and the amazing server was again helpful and we decided to start with the fish and shrimp ceviche. Well, when it came out the portion was so large we were done. The ceviche tasted very fresh the avocado melted in your mouth and the shrimp were not rubbery like they had it sitting for days. The chips tasted nice and crisp. We hope to make another trip there again soon because if everything is as good as the ceviche then we will enjoy the rest of the menu. Thank you all at La Costa for the amazing lunch!
Very delicious food and margarita! The birria tacos were great! A little spicy to be honest but still good!
